Master program will consist of reading assigned text, group assignments, PowerPoint presentations and research papers, along with field experience where applicable. Their are group assingments, but it is important to note that you DO NOT have to be online at the same time with other group members to complete your assignments.

If student teaching is part of your Master’s program you will be required as part of your courses to complete minimum of 100 hrs of field experience. An advisor from the school will assist students in setting up their practicum experiences. Also you will have a 12 week student teaching assignment.

If your masters program includes meeting licensure requirements you will be assigned a “teacher preparation counselor.” This is someone that knows all the licensing requirement for your home state and AZ, they will assure you meet all progression requirement before student teaching.

There is an on-line library that you can access anytime. All master’s programs begin with orientation to develop good study habits and to get used to online school. This will give you a good sense if online coursework is for you. They based the course on the theory that it takes 21 days to develop a good habit, (from “7 Habits of Highly Effective People).
