This program began in 2004, and is well known throughout the country as a successful 2nd career teacher program. Candidates are carefully selected to begin a year long residency program working side by side with a mentor teacher in Boston.

Denver Teacher Residency Program

Completing the program offers:
-Path to become an elementary school teacher
-Teaching license and a teaching endorsement in special education or linguistically diverse education
-M.A degree from the University of Denver.

The teacher training program is 1 year in length. The second year candidates are eligible for a full time paid teaching position. Although I will note that you would continue finishing up your M.A. during your second year.

NC TEACH: NC Transition to Teaching Program
